Imagery





DEFINITION :  A figure of speech using the five senses; visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and gustatory
                           imagery.



EXAMPLEThe carpet was rough as concrete.
                      The ice cream tasted like heaven.



SIGNIFICANCE :  Imagery is very important in a poem because it creates a vivid imagery so that the
                                reader can understand the poem better.
