Meter






DEFINITION :  Arrangement of words that are stressed or unstressed in a line.



EXAMPLE :
Come live | with me | and be | my love
And we | will all | the plea|sures prove








SIGNIFICANCE :  A meter is important in a poem because it organizes the feet so that
                         the reader could have a clear image of the poem's structure.
