DEFINITION :  A figure of speech when you compare objects using 'like' and 'as'.


EXAMPLEHer face was white like powder when she heard her husband had a heart attack.


SIGNIFICANCE :  A simile is imortant in a poem because it helps readers to understand compared objects
                                 easier and more effectively.
